Mortgage Bankers |
How often do people refinance
their homes? During these times of lower interest rates, it happens a lot.
My wife and I bought our home
3 years ago. We really enjoyed working with our mortgage broker, and had kept
in touch with us several times during the year. So a year later we called her
to see if we could refinance at a lower rate. Kathy was so great but because
she was in the process of changing jobs she didn't fell she could get us the
best deal at that time. She suggested we find someone else, but that if we
couldn't within 2-3 weeks call her back. But she told us that because she
wasn't sure what the market would do in the next month to please try to find
someone sooner. Well as it happens someone called us one evening the next day,
and we were able to refinance with him. Kathy called back 2 weeks after we had
contacted her to make sure we had gotten refinanced, and was glad to know we
had. Over the next 18 months we watched rates continue to fall. Kathy kept in
touch and when we wanted to refinance we used her again. But what about the man
who got our business on the first refinance? We never heard from him again
after the closing. Does he still do the work? Has he moved? We don't know and
may never know. If he does that with all of his clients, how many commission
checks is he let go to someone else? We have a special program
designed just for mortgage bankers/brokers. |
